The patent describes a peptide of the formula NH2-X1-Gln-Thr-Arg-Ala-Asn-Pro-Asn-Pro-Tyr-Thr- -Ser-Arg-Arg-Ser-Val-Ala-Ser-X2-COY in which X1 and X2 each represents a possible amino acid coupling unit, and Y represents -OH or -NH2, and an artificially prepared compound in free or carrier- associated form having the ability to bind to glycoconjugates, especially immunoglobulins, which compound is selected from the group which consists of the said peptide and functional analogues and functional derivatives thereof.
