In prodn. of a painted structured surface on a wood substrate, paint, comprising a 2-component lacquer to which 2.5-10 wt. % of polypropylene grains of size 75-150 microns have been added, is applied as a thin layer, and the painted surface is baked at above 100 deg. C. The 2-component lacquer is pref. an alkyd-urea melamine combination, and contains 4-6 wt. % of grains. The paint is pref. poured and the painted surface is dried at an air temp. of 140 deg. C. A 2-component lacquer contg. the polypropylene grains is claimed.
