The resilient filler is used or interposing between cap (''dolly'' 2) on a foundation pile and the pile driver block (''monkey'' 5). It consists of a number of longitudinal or plate-shaped upright plastic spring elements, at least at one end clamped or secured together by means of a plate or disc which is pref. integral with the elements. The filler may consist of two or more superimposed layers of such elements with the (common) plate or disc between them. The elements pref. consist of thermoplastic material e.g. polyamide or polythene.
