The shaft and handle for a badminton racquet are in a single piece. The shaft has a diameter twice as small as the greatest diameter of the handle. The shaft and the blade also form one piece. The racket is mfd. from thermo-hardened plastics with long fibres imbedded in it, with short fibres imbedded in a thermo plastics material or in metal. The shaft has a dia. which gradually reduces away from the handle.
