Sludge dredging vessel - has catamaran hull, between which vacuum controlled mats discharge sludge into containers

Interconnected mats under vacuum are hoisted above a container after which the sludge is released into containers on a catamaran-type vessel. The vessel (1) has two floats (2), in between which the container (3) is positioned. The two mats (4) each consist of a large number of adjacent, hinged discharge elements. To the last discharge element of each mat is fitted a flexible line (8) with a vacuum source (9). The vessel (1) includes hoist (12) and drum with rotary vanes. Mud adhering to transporter is discharged when mats are positioned above container (3).
