The shop window display board (1) forms part of the structure of the building and is movable to a storage space closed by a shutter. The board assembly is lowerable into the space and is rigidly connected to the coiling above it, which is formed by the shutter when closed. Lights are provided in the ceiling for illuminating the board, with which the ceiling forms part of a display case, being lowerable into the space. The board or case is coupled to a roller or sliding panel so that with lowering into the space, the panel is wound out in front of the display.
