The soil cultivating machine has a carrier (8) supporting several adjacent soil working members (12) which are power driven about upwardly extending axes. The carrier (8) can be moved in height relative to a roller (20) located behind it. The roller (20) height can also be adjusted by a device (36) which is adjustably connected to the carrier by a guide (38). The guide is located in front of the adjusting device and is connected to the rear side of the carrier. The guide is pivotally connected to both the adjustment device and the carrier. It can be moved in a slot (41) provided in a plate (10) located on the carrier.
