The mechanism for removing parts projecting from the outer surfaces of agricultural prods., such as skins from small onions etc., comprises a container with stationary cylindrical wall and horizontal slotted bottom rotating about the central axis, and a prod. guide plate; extending inwards from the wall. This plate has a portion with curved contour such that the prods. coming in contact therewith are deflected, turned over and spread over the bottom surface.
