The garment for use by an incontinent person comprises a part in the form of conventional underpants with a liq.-impermeable covering over front, groin and rear areas. It comprises a flap which covers the frontal area and can be folded down to permit changing an absorbent cloth such as a baby napkin which is placed against the covered portion and held in position by means, e.g., elastic cross-ribs pref. arranged in the groin area. Burr strips may be provided to secure the flap to the garment and similar strips to adjust the width of the leg openings.
