The measurement chamber has within a runner (3) with control devices (4). When forced respiration occurs through the appts. the movement of the runner is determined by the area of a hole (5) and of a narrowing slot (6). - This produces a reducing resistance for lateral flow from the chamber on the mouthpiece side of the runner, and an increasing resistance on the opposite side the further the runner moves in the measurement chamber.
