The invention comprises a filter connected to the existing cesspit, and a return pipe. The filter holder is injection moulded plastic and the filter is a rust resistance fabric, which is readily removable. The cesspool content are circulated through the filter until the solid matter in the filter has risen to 40%. Compositing is started by bacteria added to the filter before or during pumping.
