C18-20 fatty acids are used for treating infantile seborroic or asteatotic eczema. Usage can be 0.1 to 100% but esp. 5-10 wt% of the fatty acids. Gamma-linoleic acid, di-homo-gamma-linoleic acid and arachidonic acid are partic. used. Acids or vegetable oils contg. them are used in pharmaceutical prepns.
