The invention relates to an apparatus for single- or multi-component analysis by means of the absorption of radiation. It serves for continuous analysis, especially of 1 to 4 components, in operational and process metrology. It is the object of the invention to provide a single- or multi-component analyser based on solid-state detectors which, with a small component expenditure and a high degree of part repeatability, is to a great extent variable and functionally reliable and permits subsequent equipping of the apparatus up to the maximum number of measuring components. The essence of the invention can be seen in that the modulation device 9 is arranged in one module between the radiation detector apparatus 7 and the radiation source 1 such that all the measurement channels are modulated by the synchronously rotating interruptor disc (chopper) and that this module 9 has cylindrical extensions 15 to which, on one side, the cylindrical modules radiation detector apparatus(es) 7 and cuvette(s) 4 and, on the other side, cuvette(s) 4, 14 and radiation source(s) 1 are matched by means of connecting elements 13 (Fig. 1).
