New derivatives are provided corresponding to the formula: IMAGE (I) in which Ar represents an aromatic nucleus; and X represents: either the trans IMAGE chain or the IMAGE chain and A=CONHOH, COOEt, COOH or CONR2R3, either the trans-CH=CH-CH2- chain or -CH2-CH2-CH2 chain and A=carboxamido, N-isopropylcarboxamido, pyrrolidinocarbonyl or piperidinocarbonyl. These derivatives and their salts are used as drug for their activity stimulating, protecting and/or correcting cerebral functions.
