1. A method of detecting and/or recognising complex structures on the basis of the "Fuzzy theory", using parallel information-processing of the characteristic values which are descriptive of the respective given structure, by displaying in an interference plane analogue sum characteristic values, formed from all the characteristic values in a smaller number, and by parallel further processing of the simultaneously occurring individual sum characteristic values by individual analysis-channels, characterised in that the sum characteristic values which are formed in the interference plane (IFE) and which are supplied directly to the individual analysis-channels (AWK) in the form of analogue signals are each evaluated as electrical signals at predetermined times in accordance with a uniform plan and are converted either directly or indirectly into digitally processable items of sub-information, and that the respective items of acquired digital sub-information of all the analysis-channels (AWK) are together supplied simultaneously to the further digital information-processing stage as the digital image information which characterises the respective given structure.
