On a drilling device for producing the bores for the mounting of pot-type hinges on carcass parts or door leaf parts of a piece of furniture, a support surface 2 for the furniture part is provided, which surface is delimited by a stop rail 5. Provided in the support surface 2 is a catch 20 for the dowel plate 4 of the pot- type hinge, which catch can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the stop rail 5 and can be fixed in the position set. Also present is at least one stop 8 for setting the distance at which the pot-type hinge is to be mounted from the furniture part edge. This stop 8 can be adjusted in its distance from the catch 20 and can be fixed in the position set. In this way, mounting of the pot-type hinge parts on the furniture parts is made simpler and more accurate. Shims 25 which can be placed in front of the active stop surface 26 are preferably provided, in order for it to be possible, if desired, to achieve a variation from the flush arrangement of the door leaf in relation to the carcass part.
