Method for removing residues of metal catalysts of polymer solutions with one or more dicarboxylic acids in excess, to precipitate the metal, followed by separation of the precipitates formed by Filtration or centrifugation. It has applications for the purification of polymer solutions resulting from catalytic hydrogenation processes.
