METHOD OF BENEFICIATION OF COMPLEX SULFIDE ORES

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA method of beneficiation of complex sulfideores is disclosed. The method comprises crushing andgrinding complex sulfide ores containing sulfides ofcopper, zinc, iron and other minerals, subjecting theground ores to differential flotation to obtain a bulkcopper-zinc concentrate which is separate from pyrite andgangue, and passing the bulk copper-zinc concentratethrough a high-gradient magnetic separator having an open-bore magnetic field filled with a matrix element, so asto recover separately a magnetic copper concentrate anda non-magnetic zinc concentrate. By combining the differ-ential flotation with high-gradient magnetic separation,the present invention enables individual separation ofcopper and zinc concentrates without using many reagentsin high volumes and by a simple process control.- 13 -
