ABSTRACTThe invention is a polymeric composition whichcomprises the reaction product prepared by exposing oneor more poly(arylcyclobutenes) having two or more arylmoieties with one or more cyclobutene rings fused to eacharyl moiety, wherein the aryl moieties are directlybonded to one another or are connected by a bridgingmember wherein the bridging member is (1) a polyvalentinorganic radical or (2) a polyvalent organic radical, totemperatures at which the poly(arylcyclobutenes) undergopolymerization.
