A method of biological purification of waste water from non-ionogenic surface-active substances consists in subjecting the waste water to purification, under anaerobic conditions, with bacteria of the Bacillus and Pseudomonas types and with denitrifying, sulphatoreducing and methane-generating bacteria extracted from the fermented sediment treated at a temperature of 40-90°C, the said bacteria being fixed on a non-water soluble carrier in the above-mentioned sequence.
