Compositions for analytical measurement of sulfation intensity for its removal, for cleaning of protein material residues, specially materials for strengthening frescoed plaster coated surfaces, as well as for the removal by controlled disintegration of decorated layers from the surface of chalky plaster, comprising a mixture of an anion exchange material (e.g.: an anion exchange resin) with an ammonium carbonate aqueous solution.
