Users of a customary drum with a bung are to be given the emptying possibilities of a customary container with a lid. The bung lid end of the shell is provided with an edge bead 8 onto which the bent edge rim 11 of a bung lid 6, fitted with a closure, is placed with interposition of a seal 9. Placed on top of the bung lid is a double seamed top end 12 which, with a cutout 13, exposes at least the closure of the bung lid and which, with its outer folded edge 14, grips under the edge bead 8 and tensions the edge rim 11 against said edge bead.
