In a stamp mechanism (1) for marking lottery tickets (3), consisting of a housing (11) containing a multiplicity of individually actuatable stamps (26) which are arranged as a matrix and each of which can be displaced against the pressure of a spring, where to displace the stamps (26) which are guided so as to be capable of being displaced in a grid-like insert component (21), a common actuating member (14) assigned to the stamps is provided, by means of which the selected stamps are displaceable via randomly distributable spheres (30) acting as intermediate members lying on the stamps (26) the number of spheres corresponding to the fields of the game card which are to be marked, elastically deformable tension devices for example in the form of rubber bands (31) are provided, to guide back the stamps (26) selected in each case, as return springs, which are led through the stamps (26 26',..) of a row (a, b, ..) and by means of which the latter are held in the insert component (21). By means of this configuration, it is possible to install the springs (31) for returning the stamps (26) quickly and without difficulty as the rubber bands can be inserted in rows through holes (24, 27) bored in the crosspieces (22, 23) of the insert component (21) and the stamps (26) so that each stamp (26) is suspended and a permanently satisfactory returning action is guaranteed.
