METHOD OF MOULDING A BALL VALVE BY MOUNTING ELEMENTS HELD BY CORES CONSTITUTING TOOLS TO PRACTICE THE METHOD

In a tap (31) having a valve body (7) movably incorporated in an internal valve housing (36) and being movable between the open position shown and a not shown closed position, one of these two parts, namely the inner valve housing (36) and the valve body (7) which slide relative to each other upon actuation of the valve, is molded against the other party. In a ball valve (31), the inner valve housing (36) is, as shown, preferably molded around the ball (7) and within the outer valve housing (32). For the molding of said molded part, a tool is used comprising in particular two rings (50, 51) which can engage with each one end of a flow passage (11) formed in a valve housing and being cylindrical when the valve is open. The tool also comprises a plug (57) capable of blocking a control lever (15) on the valve body (7). The manufacture of the tap is considerably simplified, since complicated operations for fixing the trim and assembly of numerous small parts are avoided.
