The mineral insulated (M) of the cable (C) being responsive to the moisture it is protected on the cable length by a sheath (G), the stripped front portion (8) of the core (A) of this cable is first connected to a connecting section (14), the insulator (22) consists of a moisture-insensitive organic material. Prior connecting region is embedded in a resin block (24) surrounded by its own sheath (26). The junction connection is on the other end (18) of the connecting portion within an unsealed housing. The invention is particularly applicable to the transmission of information in case of accident at a nuclear reactor.
