Rubber compositions, crosslinkable rubber compositions and oil seals and rubber hoses made therefrom

PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber compsn. having excellent roll processability, mechanical strengths, etc., by reacting a specified rubber-forming polymer, polyorganohydrogensiloxane and a transition-metal compd. while shearing deformation is applied. CONSTITUTION:A rubber-forming polymer (A) is obtd. by compounding 3-70wt.% polyorganosiloxane of the formula (wherein R is a (substd.) monovalent org. group and 0.02-10mol.% of R is vinyl group; a is 1.900-2.004) (i) and 97-30wt.% org. rubber whose Mooney viscosity at 100 deg.C is 10-200 (e.g., acrylic rubber) (ii). 100pts.wt. component A, 0.005-50pts.wt. polyorganohydrogensiloxane (B) having 2 or more H-Si bonds in the molecule and 0.00001-1pt.wt. transition-metal compd. (C) of group VIII of the periodic table, pref. a platinum compd., are compounded and hydrosilylation thereof is done while shearing deformation is applied thereto.
