The metal windowseat comprises a cover plate and two trim of metal, one of which at least is movable in the lengthwise direction of the plate. On the underside of the plate is a guide rail (18), to which the end of the plate towards the movable edge (2) is fixed, the latter being of angle-section with two flanges (12,13). The edge of one flange is bent inwards at right angles to form a supporting surface (15) for plaster, while that of the other flange (13) is bent inwards through 90 deg. at two places to engage with the rail. USE/ADVANTAGE - Metal windowseat combines ease of installation with good sealing to windowframe.
