The seat and recliner has a back-rest which has circular-curved sections (1) on which the sitter leans, enabling the sitter to adopt a particular angle of tilt. A pendulum mechanism (4,5,G) swings on a pivot point and has pendulum-weights (G) which are coupled to an operating-arm (5). Between the penoulum mechanism and the furniture is a slip-coupling released manually. USE/ADVANTAGE - The chair or recliner can be used also as a fitness-training appliance, and can have its angle of tilt adjusted.
