The dome shaped end (1) of a tubular container has a central dispensing opening (2) which is sealed before use. Part of the wall round the opening includes a thinner zone (11) which is broken by twisting the top part (3) when required for use. This top part forms part of a security system so that it cannot be opened by young children. The top part has a ring (4) connected by a circular dished membrane (8) to the wall round the opening, and with gripping tabs (13) projecting upwards. When the ring is pushed downwards by the tabs, noses (6) projecting from them are forced into radial grooves (7) on the top of the domed part, locking it. The centre (5) of the removable part fits into the opening to seal it, having a shoulder (9) around it, fitting into a recess (12) inside the opening. USE/ADVANTAGE - For salt, powders, medicaments, disinfecting liquids etc. the design is cheap, simple and safe.
