Crate, especially a fish crate, with drainage holes in the base

A crate, especially a fish crate, has a base (1) and side walls (2) which project upwards from the base and are connected to one another. Provided adjoining the transition between the base (1) and the side walls are drainage holes (11) for fish water and melted ice. Provided on the inside of the side walls are vertical circulation channels (6) which communicate at the bottom with diagonally extending and/or mainly longitudinally extending and transversely extending channels (7, 8) in the base. This fish crate allows cold air to circulate all the way around the layer of fish in a fish crate and allows warm air to flow away easily from the underside of the layer of fish. This crate therefore allows a rapid and even temperature balance between the fish and the ice. IMAGE
