In order in the case of a method for determining the radiation absorption of an absorber body, particularly one irridiated by solar radiation, to be able to operate over a large temperature range and, as the case may be, with high intensities of irradiation, it is proposed to transmit heat from the absorber body to a heat output measuring device via a gap which is filled with a gas which is a good conductor of heat, and to select the pressure of the gas in the gap in such a way that the thermal conductivity of the gas is dependent on pressure. Furthermore, a device is proposed for carrying out this method.
