Photometer and method for setting the photometer

A method for setting a photometer to the particular investigation to be carried out is specified. In the method, the sample to be investigated is inserted in a measuring cuvette into a sample chamber of the photometer. A code indicating the investigation to be carried out is provided on the measurement cuvette, and the code data are automatically read out when the measurement cuvette is inserted into the sample chamber. These data are used for reading control commands into the photometer for the purpose of setting the measurement parameters of the photometer.
