In an appliance for making parallel-walled furrows by means of cutter discs, there are provided trimming coulters (106) which follow the cutter discs and the cutting edges of which are set at an angle to the direction of travel and at an angle to the ground. Two trimming coulters (106) are arranged in succession on a respective trimming-coulter carrier (112), in such a way that they are at a respective opposite angle to the direction of travel.
