Device for target identification and fuze triggering of horizontal mines which are to be fired for anti-tank purposes in a target zone. Two directional microphones which are sensitive to armoured vehicle noise as well as a seismic sensor which is sensitive to seismic waves characteristic of armoured vehicles and an electronic evaluation device are provided. The receiving lines of the directional microphones are directed at the target zone and are at an acute angle with respect to one another, which angle encloses the firing direction of the horizontal mine. The evaluation device initially interrogates the seismic sensor for seismic waves which are characteristic of armoured vehicles, and activates the directional microphones in the event of seismic waves which are characteristic of armoured vehicles. The evaluation device detects the sound waves received by the two directional microphones and/or the received sound energy separately, the phase shift is determined, and fuze triggering is activated when the phase shift is at a minimum.
