An apparatus for the superfinishing of the surfaces of conical rollers contains two rolls (11, 26) driven in the same direction, one of which is equipped with a transporting collar. The conical rollers are transported in the longitudinal direction of the apparatus between said rolls and at the same time turn about their own axis. During this, in the region of the upper side, a working of the surface by means of honing stones is effected. According to the invention, the apparatus has, in its end region, a region in which no relative movement occurs in the longitudinal direction of the apparatus between the honing stones and the conical rollers to be worked.
