Open-die forging press

Open-die forging press with a pressing cylinder-piston arrangement acting on the ram, a return cylinder-piston arrangement and a control device for a pressing stroke, the return, lowering of the ram at a predetermined speed and decompression. The control device is equipped with logic valves and a logic circuit with a control program. As logic valves use is made of rotary slide valves, there being at least one for controlling the press stroke and return and at least one further logic valve for controlling the lowering of the ram and decompression. The rotary slide valves are controlled with the aid of respective stepper motors integrated into the control program. IMAGE
