The invention relates to the improvement of the device for producing the contact pressure between the closed contacts (2, 3) especially in vacuum switch housings (1) in the case of an individual arrangement and a double-row or parallel circuit. To this end a leaf spring (20), for example, is arranged outside the mechanical system in order to transmit the drive force to the movable contact (3). As soon as the contacts touch during the switching-on process (connection process), a coupling rod (13), for example, of the force transmission system caulks itself against the leaf spring and stresses it. This coupling rod at the same time transmits the force of the stressed leaf spring to the movable contact, which then presses on the stationary contact and thus produces the contact pressure between the closed contacts.
