It is the object of the invention to produce a denture with a soft relining material that is stable in the oral cavity and is easily bonded to the denture material, as well as to achieve increased long-term strength and moisture resistance of the bonding between relining material and denture material. Production of dentures in which the mucosa-covering surface of the denture is made of a plate of an ethene/vinyl acetate copolymer and the denture base material is polymethylmethacrylate is effected, according to the invention, by use of an ethene/vinyl acetate copolymer plate whose side facing the mucosa is crosslinked, using a compound of the ethene/vinyl acetate copolymer with 5 to 20 % by weight of the methyl methacrylate prepolymer for formation of the bonding between the ethene/vinyl acetate copolymer and the PMMA. The bonding is formed by curing PMMA at the interface of the compound, if appropriate at elevated temperature and pressure. Crosslinking of the ethene/vinyl acetate copolymer plate is advantageously effected by ionising radiation.
