The invention relates to a wire-cutting unit for device for threading ferrite toroidal cores. According to the invention, the body 1 of the unit is arranged between the wire-advance unit and the ferrite toroidal cores to be threaded. The cutting tool is produced in the form of a finger 11 mounted in the body 1 between the input and output bushings 4, 8 with the capability of pivoting about its own axis. The joined-together surfaces of the bushing 4 and of the finger 11 form the slicing edges. When the finger 11 pivots, the wire 7, which passes through the axial orifices of the bushings 4, 8 and the transverse orifice of the finger 11, is tautened and sheared. The invention applies in particular to the manufacture of matrix-like operational memories. IMAGE
