Perennial mass-propagation of annual useful plants using the shoot primordium by (A) sepg. off the shoot tip of the annual plant; (B) planting the sepd. tip in an artificial nutrient medium contg. a mixt. of inorganic salts and a plant growth hormone; (C) subjecting the shoot tips to rotation culture at 15-30 deg.C with a lighting intensity of 2000-9000 Lux while rotating at 0.5-10 rpm, thus propagating the shoot primordium; and (D) subjecting the resulting shoot primordia to stationary culture to form young plants.
