The subject of the present invention is an anti-infection prophylactic element for medical and veterinary use intended to be placed or implanted inside the body of a human being or of an animal, consisting of a support element 1, with which is combined a structure 2, 3, 4 containing at least one anti-infection agent, the said structure being made from a biologically compatible material, which can allow diffusion, in situ, of the said anti-infection agent, as well as its method of manufacture by extrusion using an appropriate device allowing simultaneous extrusion of the structure carrying anti-infection agents, and the support element for the prophylactic element.
