POLYPHENYLENE ETHER-POLYAMIDE BLEND HAVING IMPROVED MELT FLOW CHARACTERISTIC

PURPOSE: To provide polyphenylene ether-polyamide blend where a melt flow characteristic is improved by mixing polyphenylene ether resin, polyamide resin, compatibilizing agent and organic carboxylic acid. ;CONSTITUTION: Resin composition contains (a) polyphenylene ether resin, (b) polyamide resin, (c) compatibilizing agent compound against the components (a) and (b), and (d) organic carboxyl acid of R-CO(R') (in a formula, R is univalent 4-32C alkyl and aralkyl; R' is -OH, halogen) in effective quantity for improving melt flow or acid anhydride derivative. In the resin composition, it is desirable to mix 5-80 wt.% of the (a) component, 95-20 wt.% of the (b) component, 0.01-10 wt.% of the (c) component based on 100 wt.% of (a) and (b), and about 0.01-10 wt.% of the (d) component based on 100 wt.% of (a) and (b).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO
