COAL GRANULATION AND REMOVAL OF ASH FROM COAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To remove hydrophilic ash easily, and to improve handleability of coal without binding granulated coal firmly, by using an oil having a high pour point, reducing extremely its viscosity at a temperature = the pour point as a binder oil. CONSTITUTION:An oil (e.g., crude oil containing a large amount of paraffin hydrocarbon such as Pennsylvania crude oil, Minas crude oil, Taching crude oil, Ishikari crude oil, etc.) having a high pour point (about 20-50 deg.C), and properties to reduce its viscosity at a temperature = the pour point is used as a binder oil, the oil is added to coal water slurry at a temperature = the pour point, they are blended with stirring, to carry out coal granulation and removel of ash from the coal.
