PURPOSE: To reduce cooling load upon cold storage, and hence miniaturize a refrigerator unit and reduce the amount of consumed power by cooling and freezing a cold storage agent to a minimum in a cold storage chamber with a small volume defined by a heat insulation partition wall during cold storage operation. CONSTITUTION: With operation of a ventilating fan 28, cold air cooled with a cold storage agent 22 flows from a ventilating hole 27 to a cold insulation chamber 29 side to cool the cold insulation chamber 29. Cooled transportation articles 16 such as fresh foods are inserted into the cold insulation chamber 29, and then a power supply cord 35 is pulled out from a power supply and operation of a compressor 30 is interrupted, and the articles 6 are placed on a transportation truck to a destination. The inside of the cold insulation chamber body 17 is cooled with the cold storage chamber cooled by melting latent heat of the cold storage agent 22 to prevent the transportation articles 16 from being raised in temperature. Thereupon, the compressor 30 is interrupted, and a high temperature refrigerant is prevented from flowing through a condenser 31, so that a heat influence of the condenser 31 into the cold preservation cabinet body 17 is eliminated, and a load heat amount is not increased.
