MIXING RATIO VARIATION DETECTOR FOR POWDER MIXTURE

PURPOSE:To detect variations in a mixing ratio of a powder mixture with a different magnetic permeability, by arranging the powder mixture with its average magnetic resistance varying with time between a Josephson junction element and a magnetic field application means. CONSTITUTION:It is so arranged that a strong magnetic field acts on a Josephson junction element 10 by a magnetic field application means 14 and a powder mixture 12 is disposed between both the components. Moreover, a bias voltage VB is applied to the Josephson junction element 10 from a resistance variation detecting means 16 which detects variations in the resistance of the Josephson junction element 10 and the resistance variation detecting means 16 is connected to the Josephson junction element 10 to extract the variations in the resistance of the Josephson junction element 10 as output voltage VS. When a strong magnetic field is applied by a magnetic field application means 14, a component mixing ratio of the powder mixture 12 changes and a strong magnetic field works on the Josephson junction element 10 with an increase in an average magnetic permeability making the element normally conductive in time. This change in the resistance is detected by a means 16.
