PURPOSE:To reduce the trouble of making out a railway schedule on trial by drawing a criterion chart for turning back condition by taking the number of turning back tracks and the shortest time required for the following possible arrival of the train after its turning back departure as parameters, and the time of allowable turning back departure of the train after its arrival and a train service time interval as the axis of coordinates. CONSTITUTION:A section 20 for computing a judging formula of turning back time interval condition and drawing a criterion chart performs the computing of each judging formula which determines the upper and lower limits of a set allowable range of both the variation domains of a train turning back time and of its service time interval for the shortest time required for the following arrival of the train after its turning back departure and inputted through a man machine interactive control part 12 end memories 15-17 on a planed turning back station by taking the number of turning back tracks as parameters. The above-computed result is drawn and expressed on CRT 14 through a section 30 for generating a schedule sample for the train to be turned back and drawing the criterion chart and a control part 13 by taking both variables as the axis of coordinates. Thus set conditions can be confirmed and evaluated as a schedule for the train to be turned back, and thereby determined without causing misunderstanding, resulting in possible reduction in the trouble of making out a railway schedule on trial.
