PURPOSE:To bend surely a panel to a desired angle with a simple operation by forming a V-shape groove to the panel which allowing the metallic surface plate from the inside surface to the outside surface to remain along the intended curving line of the panel and bending stepwise both right and left side faces from the outside. CONSTITUTION:The sectionally V-shaped groove 20 is formed straightly over the entire length of the panel so as to allow the surface plate 18' from the surface plate 18 side on the inside surface side of the curving to the outside of the curving to remain along the intended curving line of the panel. The groove bottom part with the groove 20 side faced downward is placed on the top side of a bearing plate 8 and is successively forced into the spacing between the top side of the plate 8 and the 1st pressing roller 13a, then both right and left side faces are pressed by through-shaped pressing roller and the plate is bent by as much as the trough shape angle of the press roller along the intended curving line of plate 18'. The plate is then fed into the spacing between the 2nd press roller and the plate 8 and thereafter the plate is stepwise bent to the angle corresponding to the trough shape angles of the respective press rollers between th 3rd, 4th-press rollers and the bearing plate in the same manner and is bent to the desired angle between the final press roller and the bearing plate.
