ALUMINUM PLATE AND ALUMINUM ALLOY PLATE IMPROVING ADHESION OF PAINT

PURPOSE:To make the treatment of an Al (alloy) plate before painting unnecessary and to prolong the life of a painted product as well as to improve the adhesion of paint by regulating the maximum roughness of the surface of the Al (alloy) plate and the number of projections having a prescribed height in a specified length range. CONSTITUTION:The surface of an Al (alloy) plate rolled with a surface roughened rolling roll is provided with a surface shape having =1.5mum maximum roughness and =25 projections having =1.0mum height in the range of 25.4mm length in directions parallel and perpendicular to the rolling direction. Thus, the adhesion of paint to the Al (alloy) plate can be improved.
