PURPOSE:To adjust the suspension of a body in accordance with an operating condition by providing a central control device for calculating a proper damping function and for adjusting the damping function of shock absorbers and reducing the damping function of the shock absorbers in accordance with the vehicle speed at the time of high speed traveling and making a turn. CONSTITUTION:A signal from an ultrasonic transducer UT and a vehicle speed signal are processed by a central control device and a control portion CONT, or the accessory circuit thereof including a memory and an I/O interface to calculate proper damping function. Each of a front suspension FS and a rear suspension RS is provided with a shock absorber having a damping function control means, to adjust damping function based on the calculated proper damping function. Hence, a motorcycle can adjust the suspension of the body in accordance with the inclination angle of the body and the vehicle speed, in accordance with an operating condition at the time of traveling on a curve.
