MEASUREMENT OF DIE CLAMPING FORCE FOR INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To measure a die clamping force at a low cost, by utilizing a moire fringe formed by a sheet for a model grid applied on a tie bar and a sheet for a master grid with only one end thereof fixed on the tie bar. CONSTITUTION:In a die clamping unit, a sheet 1 for a model grid is applied on a tie bar 9 for connecting a fixed platen and a rear platen. A sheet 2 for a master grid is fastened on the sheet 1 for the model grid in such a manner that reference lines 4 and 7 coincide. Here, the sheet 2 for a master grid is fastened only at an end thereof on the reference line 7 side. The sheet 1 for the model grid extends according to the elongation of the tie bar 9 and is deviated from the sheet 2 for the master grid to generate a moire fringe 10 with the grids 5 and 8 entered into the respective sheets 1 and 2. The elongation of the tie bar 9 can be judged from a pattern of the moire fringe 10, thereby enabling learning of a die clamping force.
